Hexagon-Raufoss Is the New Brand Effective October 1
The Ragasco unit of Hexagon Composites is supplying Type IV all-composite compressed natural gas fuel cylinders for the Mercedes-Benz B 200 Natural Gas Drive car for 2013. Separately, the firm is changing its Ragasco product branding to Hexagon-Raufoss effective October 1.
Raufoss, Norway-based Ragasco — soon to be known as Hexagon-Raufoss — is supplying two sizes of Type IV CNG fuel tanks for the Mercedes B 200 Natural Gas drive for 2013.
Hexagon-Raufoss supplies 200-bar/3,000-psi, ECE R110-compliant tanks for passenger vehicles in Europe and elsewhere outside North America.
Hexagon’s Lincoln Composite unit supplies 250-bar/3,600-psi tanks for the U.S. and Canada.
Lincoln supplies large cylinders – upwards of 90 water liters or 410 millimeters (16 inches) in diameter – for trucks and buses worldwide, offering 3,600-psi units for North America and 200-bar tanks for export, says Norway-based Lincoln VP and Hexagon-Raufoss sales director Frank Häberli.
